Vintage Nivada Watch Manual-Wind SGP 1970s
Nice Vintage Nivada Dress Watch with mechanical swiss-made manual-wind 17J Movement.
Nivada is a watch brand with a long history, both as Nivada as Nivada-Grenchen and has some very rare and sough-after chronograph and diver models. This Nivada dress-watch reflects that quality with a 34mm SGP case, very nice finished screw-down caseback and swiss made mechanical manual-wind movement. The watch is in overall used condition, see pictures for good view of the dial and case condition.
The watch runs but has quite a deviation - for daily use a service is recommended. This is reflected in the price. Timegrapher measures a deviation of +150s/d | 174 Amplitude | 4.2MS
It's paired on an aftermarket brown leather strap with matching buckle suitable for any wrist size.

All your questions answered
Are these Genuine Seiko Watches?
Yes - all watches offered on WatchEra are 100% genuine.
I have been collecting Seiko & Watches for over 10 years, had over 1500 different seiko's passed through my hands, are actively contributing to forums & groups and carefully - I even own a bunch of Seiko Catalogs & Books to use as reference.
- If parts are replaced (like strap or crystal) this is always mentioned in the description.
- I do not sell "redials", "mumbai specials" "seiko mods" or other franken-watches related.
- To proof the authenticity, I'll give you all references available, the original model number and a picture of how the watch was depicted in the original vintage seiko dealer catalog.
Feel free to ask me any specific questions about vintage Seiko watches.
3 Months Warranty - How does it work?
All watches sold on WatchEra are working and any details important to the functionality are mentioned.
I do stand behind the quality of the watches that I sell and therefor offer a 3 month warranty on the movement.
At WatchEra - every watch that hits the store is checked by myself personally or by one of the watchmakers I work with.
However - most watches sold are used, vintage and sometimes very old wristwatches. Generally speaking I'm not aware of the (service) history or water resistance but will describe the current condition as transparant as possible.

How are you able to offer so much Vintage Seiko Watches?
That's the secret of the smith ofcourse, but to give a small insight:
I've been collecting vintage Seiko Watches myself for over 10 years and over the years I've built a net work of fellow seiko-collectors, watch resellers and other companies and individuals that are able to consistently offer high-quality genuine vintage Seiko's to me, mainly from Asia & Japan.
Next to that, I use alot of the same platforms that you might use and local marketplaces, watch fairs & auctions.
Also, do note that Seiko was one of the booming and most succesful watch companies throughout the 70s and 80s and millions of Seikos were produced & sold - my skill is finding the right ones for you :)
