Seiko Spirit 5P31-6A50 “Hard Stainless Steel” 1987
Brand Seiko
Model Spirit
Reference 5P31-6A50
This Seiko Spirit Watch with reference 5P31-6A50 was a special model from 1987 that came in both men and women size, Seiko called this "Pair Watches". This is the men size and model - made for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM)
This watch might look ordinairy but sometimes, you need to know what you looking at!
This Seiko is made of "Hard Stainless Steel"(Freely translated from the "HSS" material marking on the back). I'm not exactly sure what this "hard" stainless steel is exactly (and I don't think they continued this material) - but Seiko definetly asked a premium price for it compared to other Spirit Models! The dial is grey-ish but has a really subtle spark - like someone throw a little glitter over the dial - and comes in a traditional roman configuration.
The Seiko Quartz Caliber 5P31 was a mid-entry caliber with ±15 seconds/month. I've placed a Fresh battery and watch functions well. It comes on the original bracelet fitting up to ~18cm.
This was model SCDR003 in the 1989 catalog costing 30,500 yen.
