In some cases Seiko marked specific models differently to point out they are higher-grade. This started in 1960 when they graded their dials "Special Dial" for example - and this is the case with this Vintage Seiko Session watch with Reference 5E31-6A10 aswell, marked 'High Standard Version' and was priced accordingly back then - making this an unique watch with good specs for a great dress watch.
It's a really nice 31mm gold plated case with also a gold placed back (ASGP) The dial is a beautiful gold sunburst dial that shines when lights gets to play with it with gold-tone numeral dial indices.
The quality is mainly in the caliber, because at this time Seiko was able to produce high-quality quartz watches. Around 1988 they started to measure the accuracy in seconds per year, instead of per month - this partly mechanical caliber Cal. 5E31 has 3 jewels and a ±20 seconds/year accuracy - an amazing spec 30 years ago!
Watch has been cleaned and received a fresh battery. This is model SCEX002 costing ¥43,000 in 1991!

All watches sold on WatchEra are working and any details important to the functionality are mentioned.
I do stand behind the quality of the watches that I sell and therefor offer a 3 month warranty on the movement.
At WatchEra - every watch that hits the store is checked by myself personally or by one of the watchmakers I work with.
However - most watches sold are used, vintage and sometimes very old wristwatches. Generally speaking I'm not aware of the (service) history or water resistance but will describe the current condition as transparant as possible.

- Has neutral packaging to prevent theft
- We only ship watches in BOXES not in ENVELOPS as we believe boxes are way less often lost by shipping companies.

I've been collecting vintage Seiko Watches myself for over 10 years and over the years I've built a net work of fellow seiko-collectors, watch resellers and other companies and individuals that are able to consistently offer high-quality genuine vintage Seiko's to me, mainly from Asia & Japan.
