Vintage Seiko QR 3862-7020 1974 JDM-horloge
Op het eerste gezicht lijkt dit horloge misschien op een ander vintage Seiko-horloge, maar deze Vintage Seiko QR was een hoogwaardig quartzhorloge dat tussen 1971 en 1975 voor de Japanse markt werd geproduceerd (JDM) en gelijkwaardig was aan het model SQ2002.
Dit is duidelijk te zien aan de relatief zware en goed afgewerkte kast met gepolijste zijkanten en een geborstelde zijkant, samen met het majestueuze 3862 Quartz Caliber met ±20 seconden/maand - wat een prestatie was in 1971! Het loopt ook op 16.384 Hz - wat de helft is van de moderne standaard van 32.768.
De wit-zilveren wijzerplaat is verbluffend met een sunburst- effect, met het reliëf "single quartz" -logo en de iconische Suwa- werveling op 6 uur. De gespiegelde hoofdstukring versterkt het sunburst-effect en voegt een prachtige schittering toe aan de wijzerplaat. Een prachtig stuk in goede staat voor zijn leeftijd.
Ik heb een nieuwe batterij geplaatst, het horloge loopt en quickset werkt. Het is gecombineerd met een vintage Japanse mesh -band die kan worden aangepast.
In 1975 was het referentienummer 38QRC met een prijskaartje van 42.000 yen , een aanzienlijk bedrag vergeleken met de mechanische horloges van die tijd.
Ter vergelijking, een 56GS zoals de 56GAW was 47.000 - slechts een klein verschil. Wat is het tij gekeerd!

I do stand behind the quality of the watches that I sell and therefor offer a 3 month warranty on the movement.
At WatchEra - every watch that hits the store is checked by myself personally or by one of the watchmakers I work with.
However - most watches sold are used, vintage and sometimes very old wristwatches. Generally speaking I'm not aware of the (service) history or water resistance but will describe the current condition as transparant as possible.

I've been collecting vintage Seiko Watches myself for over 10 years and over the years I've built a net work of fellow seiko-collectors, watch resellers and other companies and individuals that are able to consistently offer high-quality genuine vintage Seiko's to me, mainly from Asia & Japan.
