Vintage King Seiko Hi-Beat 5626-7113 1973

A great example of a King Seiko Hi-Beat with reference 5626-7113 . A great example with great cosmetic condition case with sharp edges, untouched and great dial and mechanically in great working condition.

It features the high-end automatic 5626 Caliber part of the 56XX family ticking at 28,800 bph - considered hi-beat at the time. It has automatic and handwinding, quickset day and date, 25 jewels and originally 47 hours of powerreserve. Even to todays standards, this movement is an absolute technological marvel - especially considering it's 50 years old .

The 35mm case is in original, untouched and although it looks like polished previously, it was professionally done retaining the original case shape and sharp edges on the lugs and case!

I love this case design, slightly appearing "thicker" towards the lugs with multiple facets. 

With a 42mm lug-to-lug it wears relatively big for it's case diameter. It is paired here with a aftermarket brown leather strap bracelet that goes well and can be easily adjusted. It does have a later, plain stainless steel caseback (not a KS-medaillion) but this also means it's still in great condition - but has a nice recessed 'KS' signed (original) crown.

The watch has a replaced aftermarket hardlex with no scratches. The watch is working great, runs -6s/d 202 amp 0.2 beat right. Quickset works perfectly.
