Vintage Seiko Chronos Octagonal Watch 7433-7040 1984 Daini Quartz JDM Kanji/English Watch

Unique Seiko from the Chronos series, reference 7433-7040 from 1984 with a porthole-like bezel shape. I often come across the 8123 and 5h23 Chronos models and they used to be (and still are) very popular, but this one is rare, while the bezel is beautifully finished. Watch was produced in the Daini factory, as can be seen by the Daini lighting bolt at 6 o'clock. This is a JDM (Japan Domestic Market Model) made for the Japanese market, so it has Kanji/English day indication. On the case back you will find the “seiko tsunami” with two waves which indicates the increased water resistance compared to other models, although I would not recommend swimming with a vintage watch.

This is the WJP030 and it cost 30,000 Yen in 1984.

The watch, case and strap have been ultrasonically cleaned and are therefore completely neat again. Watch was fitted with a new battery on 6/4
