Vintage Seiko Type II 7123-7080 Watch JDM Quartz 1979
Brand Seiko
Model Type II
Reference 7123-7080
Nice Vintage Seiko Type II Watch Quartz Reference 7123-7080 from one of the peak Type-II years: 1979. This specific variant was only featured shortly and was one of the more simple-affordable Type II watches - while others had unique and bold colours, this model stayed more true to the Tanaka design Seiko nailed in the 1970s.
Nevertheless, This is a JDM model (Japan Domestic Market), so the watch has day indication in Japanese (kanji) and English. New battery installed and works great. Comes on an aftermarket bracelet.
The original Seiko NA211 bracelet is fitted, but the clasp is replaced by a Ricoh one. I assume the previous owner didn't fit the small-japanese bracelet. Right now, it is long and fits 19-20 cm wrists. I could replace the clasp for a simple-non seiko metal one, to reduce the size to a normal size. The original Seiko clasp is not included in the sale.
This is model QGP160 costing 15,000 yen in 1980.
